Let It Song Worm

The gears were made by designing one and then copying it over and over. They were cut using a laser cutter from 1/4" acrylic. The pattern on the outside of the box was produced using a brush stroke that was repeated five times around to create the flower and a brush stroke repeated six times around for the snow flakes. The music box drives the gears and the patterns that result from the three layers of planetary gears are generated when the layers rotate.
